Jill Prescott teaches artisanal French cooking in a style that is accessible yet faithful to the rich tradition of the craft. Since the founding of her Ecole de Cuisine, the school of cooking, she began with a single goal….to create a distinctive cooking school designed specifically for the home chef with intensive total immersion cooking courses.

Jill’s philosophy draws on the best of the past, building on a foundation of experience based on her training in the prestigious culinary schools of Paris. Her twenty years of experiences working side by side with Frances premier chefs, culinary artisans, and wine producers are the basis of her courses, which are never influenced by fads, trade organizations or clubs. She works hand in hand with culinary producers, constantly adding new dimensions to her programs.

Her career is devoted to the excellence of genuine culinary art. As her own experiences taught her upon her first encounter with high culinary art in Paris, when you encounter the tradition of great cuisine, you are simply astonished. There is no turning back, and it changes the way you look at food for ever.

Over the years, Jill has created well-defined classes for home cooks who desire the finest classes available in this country. These are at once accessible and uncompromising in their fidelity to genuine traditional cuisine. Jill teaches authentic French techniques and recipes through her courses in Cuisine, Pastry, and Bread, based on her own extensive training and experience in France.

Jill once promised a mentor, and friend in Paris, that if she were to teach French cuisine in America she would never compromise the traditions she had been imparted. In keeping that promise there have been no secrets, only well defined techniques. She teaches these to those who want to create meals to share with family and friends in their home kitchens.
